Organizational Culture Inventor (OCI®) is the most widely used and the world’s most thoroughly researched tool for measuring organizational culture. OCI® is applicable to all types of organizations. Developed by Drs. Robert A. Cooke and J. Clayton Lafferty, OCI® measure the attributes of organizational culture most closely related to the behavior and performance of members.

The Organizational Effectiveness Inventory can be used in tandem with Organizational Culture Inventory® (OCI®) to get a comprehensive view of an organization’s operating culture, current outcomes, and levers for changing culture and maximizing effectiveness and performance.

Benefits Of Using Organizational Culture InventoryOCI®

The OCI form measures the current operating culture of an organization in terms of the behaviors that members believe are required to “fit in” and meet expectations. The survey form takes approximately 20 mins to complete. Response results are plotted on the Human Synergistics Circumplex to show relative strength of Constructive, Passive/Defensive, and Aggressive/Defensive norms within the organization.

The OCI-Ideal is the special form of the OCI and is used to assess the behaviors that leaders and other members believe should be expected to maximize performance and long-term effectiveness.
