Organizational Culture Inventory® (OCI®) is the most widely used and the world’s most thoroughly researched tool for measuring organizational culture. OCI® is applicable to all types of organizations. Developed by Drs. Robert A. Cooke and J. Clayton Lafferty, OCI® measures the attributes of organizational culture most closely related to the behavior and performance of members.
Benefits Of Using OCI®
The OCI form measures the current operating culture of an organization in terms of the behaviors that members believe are required to “fit in” and meet expectations. The survey form takes approximately 20 mins to complete. Response results are plotted on the Human Synergistics Circumplex to show relative strength of Constructive, Passive/Defensive, and Aggressive/Defensive norms within the organization.
The OCI-Ideal is the special form of the OCI and is used to assess the behaviors that leaders and other members believe should be expected to maximize performance and long-term effectiveness. The survey takes approximately 20 mins to complete. The results provide a picture of the ideal culture based on shared values and beliefs.
The Current Culture and Ideal Culture can be compared to identify gaps for change.

Our Consultant, Lakshmi CV, has completed the Accreditation Program for Organizational Culture Inventory® (OCI®) Organizational Effectiveness Inventory® (OEI®) by Human Synergistics International. She is a Member of the Human Synergistics Global Change Circle™ (HSGCC). She is an Accredited Practitioner who guides organizational leaders and members through the assessment process to identify gaps between the current and ideal culture, and recommend steps required for successful transformation.
